The Jambuzera

The experience in a bottle

Jambuzera

Welcome

It all started out with our passion for the North Region of Brazil. While Fernando furthered his knowledge of the Amazonian folklore during the Parintins Festival and as he listened to Dona Onete, Lia Sophia, Pinduca (among others) at the parties of the state of Pará, Cadu got into the forest for days and nights on end in his boat trips through the Amazonian rivers, beaches and islands, searching for different customs and cultures of that region. At that time we had no idea that these trips would mark the beginning of Jambuzera.

As we ate the tacacá made by the cuisine goddesses of Quintal Paraense (@quintalparaense) in the early 2017, we started to imagine how we could make cachaça with jambu something even more unique and precious. As great lovers of this wonderful drink genuinely born in Brazil, we embarked on this mission. We carried out several tests to get to an irresistible formula and had many handmade productions for our own consumption and for the joy of the friends who never left us in this arduous task. Since then, we have been going high and low in search of stills and taking numerous trips to the North of Brazil so as to make an excellent cachaça with jambu, just the way we like it.

Besides offering a high quality product we have always cared to combine our production with responsibility towards both the communities involved in the process and you, who consume our products! It’s out of this concern that something we are very proud of was born: the organic version of Jambuzera!

Our beliefs

We aim at providing a unique experience through the quality of our drink, cherishing joy and valuing the culture and diversity of Brazil.

The thought of innovating our production in a circular way is what excites us! With love, innovation and creativity, producing Jambuzera while carefully respecting the environment and the communities involved in our process.

What we produce

The production begins in the Amazon, in the inner state of Pará. Edigar and his family, together with a small community of family farmers where they live, are passionate about the production of jambu in harmony with nature. They are the responsible for this essential ingredient for us. From there, jambu hits the road on the way to one of the best distillers of Brazil, in the South Region, where all the other steps of the production take place with the same original DNA: free of sugar and food coloring, extracts or industrialized ingredients. All this natural, slow and handmade process allows for a unique and extraordinary experience with Jambuzera, surprising at every sip.

Amazonian soul

Amazonian soul

What is jambu, after all? Its official name, not really widely-known, is acmella oleracea . In its composition it has spilanthol, which is just what causes the flavor explosion on the palate and the sensation of numbness on the tongue and on the lips which you feel in your mouth as soon as you drink it. This plant, found in the Amazonian region, is a common ingredient in the culinary of the North Region of Brazil.
